👋 Saturday: Goodbyes & Hellos
A day of goodbyes and hellos. Marijn drops Siemen and me off in Winterthur and continues on to the Netherlands while we explore Winterthur.

🌄 Friday: Leaving Winter
Returning to Klosters from the Silvretta hut we're leaving winter behind. A lovely hike in late summer weather, through a valley where the leaves are turning.

🔆 Thursday: Over the Fuorcla dal Canfin
From the Wiesbadener Hut to the Silvretta Hut over the Fuorcla dal Canfin and 2 glaciers: the Ochsentaler glacier and the Silvretta glacier.

🗻 Wednesday: Dreilander Spitze
An out and back trip to the Vermunt glacier in deep snow. We're slow but having fun.

❄ Tuesday: Silvretta Hut to Wiesbadener Hut
We cross over the Rote Furka from the Silvettra Hut into Austria. Because of fresh snow we go to the Wiesbadener Hut instead of the Saarbrücker Hut

🚶Monday: To the Silvretta Hut
We start our Silvretta tour by hiking up to the Silvretta Hut after getting Marijn a new pair of crampons.

✈ Silvretta Travel Days
Travelled from California to Klosters, Switzerland. Met Marijn & Siemen at the Zurich airport. Checked into the Klosters hostel and prepared to hike out the next day .

Something strange happened Wednesday evening as I drove the last miles home on our road. I felt a fever coming on.

The weather forecast shows significantly lower temperatures for the Silvretta region than last week's forecast. The forecast now includes sub zero night time temperatures and daytime snow fall. Winter is coming… Time to make some gear changes
