We started January in the cloud forest of Monteverde and finished the month celebrating Casper's 13th birthday. We saw sloths in the wild, ate great food and now all wear a Fitbit. My nerd side project this month was switching over to Pushover.

🌴 We closed 2018 out in the tropics with Tatyanna's family in Samara, Costa Rica. 🏄 We surfed. 🐬 We saw dolphins. 🌅 And we saw many lovely sunsets.

🏹 I had a fun offsite with the Google Play Movies & TV team in La Honda learning Kyudo. 🍸 Tatyanna had a seminar in San Francisco over the weekend and we made a date out it. 🎥 Last but not least, I got Go Pro, to document our upcoming trip to Costa Rica with.

A quiet week. 🤓 Casper had his optometrist appointment to get his eyes checked. 🏀 He started basketball practice at the Boys & Girls club. 👓 While I ordered the Öga frame I'd selected for much less in Canada.

🗳 We voted as a family in the midterm elections. ➕ I learned about Google emergency preparedness trailers. 🕶 Bart & Tatyanna visited an optometrist to measure their eyesight. ⚽ Casper's soccer season ended in smoke. ⛰The NKBV ends travel insurance for overseas members next year.

⚜ Tuesday evening, Troop 633 held their Court of Honor. 🏕 The troop camped out at Fremont Peak State Park over the weekend. 📱 Great opportunities to try out the awesome camera of my new Pixel 3 phone.
