Last Friday evening Casper and I attended a Croissant Workshop through Cabrillo College Extension. Where learned how to "Lock the butter" and "Proof Croissants". And left with freshly baked croissants and dough to make more. #winning.
Farm
I say 🍅, you say 🍅. Our tomato yield is enormous this year! Late November –just before Thanksgiving, I harvested another bucket load of ripe tomatoes. Bucket number 9 for the season.
Building
Tatyana has two kilns in our basement art studio. Most of the time they are tucked away against the wall when not in use. To use them however, they need to be moved out from the wall. Which was a pain in the 🍑 to do. So I added 3" casters to the metal stands the kilns rest on.

Weather
Numerous forest fires burn in Northern California. The closest burn in Sonoma & Napa county. Hundreds of people are missing and thousands of houses are lost to the fires. Their smoke covers the entire San Francisco Bay Area.

On Tuesday Tatyanna delivered our 300lbs of apples to the Mason Taylor Ranch along with 3 carboys, 3 piece water locks and sanitizer. The next day I helped juice the apples and started the fermentation process.

Thirteen years after we bought our property we're harvesting all the apples from our old apple tree to make hard cider with. 🍻

We cross over the Rote Furka from the Silvettra Hut into Austria. Because of fresh snow we go to the Wiesbadener Hut instead of the Saarbrücker Hut

We start our Silvretta tour by hiking up to the Silvretta Hut after getting Marijn a new pair of crampons.

Travelled from California to Klosters, Switzerland. Met Marijn & Siemen at the Zurich airport. Checked into the Klosters hostel and prepared to hike out the next day .
