π€ Rodeo Roundup 2018 Week #40
The shed gets roof tiles. I lost my Fitbit. Casper's soccer team takes team pictures.
π On the Farm
I placed battens on the shed's roof over the weekend. The roof's pitch is too steep to walk on the roof. The ladder can't stand at a 40ΒΊ angle without being held in place. I tried, but the ladder slides as soon as I stepped on a rung above the roof's edge.
Holding the ladder in place with the tractor's bucket worked perfectly.
After placing the battens as measured out last week, I could nail roofing tiles in place. Many trips up and down the ladder later, one side of the roof is done.
I placed ridge tiles with different spacing to see which spacing we liked best. We settled on the wider spacing. I'll cement the ridge caps in place after all other tiles are in place.
Notice how the bottom row of tiles tilt down? That is because the bird guard isn't in place yet. The roof tiles are older tiles. They are a Craigslist score from a while back. Their shape is uncommon and there are no ready-made bird guards on the market to fit their shape. So, I'm making custom bird guards myself out of wood.
β Lost my Fitbit Charge 2
A clasp of my Fitbit Charge 2 wrist strap came loose, and the Fitbit fell on the group without noticing. This happened in the morning at the Boys and Girls Club parking lot. I didn't discover my Fitbit was gone until I went to the gym at work.
The Fitbit's wristband was still on the parking lot that evening, but not the Charge 2. Cars driving over the wrist strap mangled the strap thoroughly.
This is a common problem with the Charge 2. There are plenty of reports online. Fitbit was good enough to send a replacement Charge 2 for free.

Casper's soccer team "Team Biscuit" had team pictures taken.
