Blogging again
The Code Mill is a blog once more after a hiatus of many years. Enjoy!
Years ago I blogged fairly regularly. until it became mostly a collection of Del.icio.us links. Meanwhile, I moved on from Ruby on Rails –the framework powering said blog. Long story short, the site/blog fell into disrepair and I replaced it with a static page, thinking I would write my own blogging software (I know, I know… 😳).
Work in the office and on our home & land never left me with enough spare time to scratch that itch.
After looking at a few JavaScript based options:
I choose Ghost. Primarily because it uses Markdown –the easy to use text to HTML tool and has automated, up-to-date Docker images for Alpine Linux.
The end result is the blog you're currently reading. Enjoy!
