I sat myself the goal to run 1,000 mi (~1,600 km) in 2017.
Begin July I reached the halfway mark fof 500 mi. Today I reached the 1,000 km mark.
My friend Felix noticed a slowdown:
And he is right. An overuse injury has slowed me down. I made the 500 mi mark but injured myself in the process. I took a break, slowed down and now try to slowly increase my frequency and mileage again.
Fingers crossed I'll still make my goal for the year. I've got 4 months left for the remaining 600 km. Roughly 150 km/month. Still doable.
